Food and waste. What can be done to minimise the impact on the environment?

I am looking for a participation of 25 people to write a piece on food waste, how to prevent it, and what are your solutions and how you implement them in your daily life, and how to help with recycling if it is not possible to avoid plastic and other wraps, containers, whatever they may be.

Does not matter where you are in the world.

The piece will be published on www.nutrunity.com platform and shared via media sites, including here. Please provide a short bio and picture, if possible.

Thank you for taking part and help the world be a better place and do not hesitate to message me if you require any further information.

Rage Attacks: They happen to the best of us!

Rage Attacks: They happen to the best of us!

Oh, baby, there sure are a lot of ways to DO anger, let alone any other feeling, right??!!  I’ve certainly used my fair share of approaches over the years.  When my sister and I were kids, we had a paper route together.  Sometimes we would have deep, adolescent talks about life while we were delivering papers.  Other times we would argue like maniacs. One particular day we were walking to our route and we got into a big argument, about what I no longer even remember!  I was so mad with her that I sped ahead and hid off to the side where she couldn’t see me. As she approached, I suddenly felt compelled to jump out and start hitting her.  I distinctly remember feeling convinced that physicall
Coming Home

Coming Home

Over the years, I’ve come to embrace a different understanding of the meaning of true freedom. It’s been powerful and liberating for me and for others who come to share this lens, including many patients with whom I work.  Instead of true freedom requiring us to find a way OUT of our current moments, feelings or experiences, I’ve discovered that it instead invites us to turn down the volume on our thinking minds and practice tuning into our own feelings, bodies, and energy IN the moment.    How many of you have experienced anxiety, illness, cancer, a job you hate or a relationship in which you’re unhappy? Or perhaps you’ve felt gripped with fear, anger, grief or overwhelm about the political

Fast facts about osteopathy

Fast facts about osteopathy

Fast facts about osteopathy: Osteopathy uses a drug-free, non-invasive form of manual medicine that focuses on the health of the whole body, not just the injured or affected part. The osteopathic physician focuses on the joints, muscles, and spine. Osteopathic intervention can help treat arthritis, back pain, headaches, tennis elbow, digestive issues, and postural problems. Treatment can also assist with sleep cycles and the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic symptoms.
The health benefits of tai chi

The health benefits of tai chi

This gentle form of exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life.Tai chi is often described as "meditation in motion," but it might well be called "medication in motion." There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started even if you aren't in top shape or the best of health. In this low-impact, slow-motion exercise, you go without pausing through a series of motions named for animal actions — for example, "white crane spreads its wings" — or martial arts moves, such as "box both ears."
You're taking a big risk.

You're taking a big risk.

One of the most common things people say to me on a discovery call is 'I don't know.'   'I just don't know why I keep doing that!'  'I don't know why I feel like this!?'  'I don't know why it bothered me so much!' 'I don't know why I haven't done it yet!'   So I thought I'd post a freebie.. 😉 A free boot in the butt for anyone out there that needs it, but doesn't have a coach in their corner as yet.   So here it is.  You do know. Stop instructing your brain not to release the information. You have to be very careful what you say, because you are listening. Telling yourself over and over again that you don't know, or that you're unsure, or that you're not ready, or that you can't, is all jus
Spring and the weathering of relationships

Spring and the weathering of relationships

Spring and the weathering of relationships At our office, we have a whiteboard in the kitchen where we leave each other notes and updates. Around the beginning of March, someone wrote on our communal whiteboard that Spring was just around the corner. What followed that comment over the next few weeks became quite amusing for all of us. Every day someone would add an additional comment. It developed into this entertaining ongoing dialogue that ran down the whiteboard like a script from a play that varied from hope to skepticism. As Canadians, we love to talk about the weather and take it all in stride, but I loved how everyone just intuitively got into the act. That lead me to think about re
I keep doing the affirmations and nothing is changing!

I keep doing the affirmations and nothing is changing!

I want to take a moment to address this because it's a super common misconception that you can talk yourself into a different reality without engaging your emotional state.   Affirmations, visualizations, journal prompts, Kylego etc are tools, designed to get you to feel the emotions you would feel if your goal was already achieved. Simply saying the affirmation or picturing the goal isn't going to cause a manifestation if you're not prepared to change how you're thinking and feeling.  What we know from quantum physics is that atoms respond to our vibration, and our vibration comes down to our emotional state.   Newtonian (matrix level) is 'cause and effect',  Quantum (the building blocks of
Yoga nidra : the flowering within

Yoga nidra : the flowering within

Yoga Nidra, the concept, is adopted from the ancient science of Tantra. It is a powerful practice for achieving deep relaxation while being conscious and aware. Nidra as a word stands for sleep, but the application here is totally different from what we generally understand sleep as. To understand this we need to log onto some basic insight into the different states of consciousness as explained in the yogic system. There are three states in which our consciousness keep oscillating at regular intervals, through the agency of mind. These intervals are predetermined most of the times which is referred as the Bio Rhythms. Jaagrut awastha or normal wakeful state (conscious): This is outer most
What You Can Do To Fight Back Pain

What You Can Do To Fight Back Pain

People often experience back pain in different ways. Some people may just have stiffness in their back, while other people will have stabbing pain. Back pain isn’t pleasant, but these tips will get you feeling better sooner.

Your mattress can make all the difference when you are dealing with back pain. The average person spends nearly a third of each day in bed. Unfortunately, you day will include unnecessary back pain if your mattress fails to adequately support your back. Use a medium-firm mattress and proper supporting pillows for the neck.
If you can afford it, one of the best methods to get rid of back pain is to actually seek professional physical therapy. Even if your local hospi

Deep Breathing to Calm Your Mind

Deep Breathing to Calm Your Mind

While working in acquired brain injury rehabilitation, I would use deep breathing techniques with my clients as a way to reduce stress and help them cope with physical pain. It hadn’t occurred to me that this was a form of meditation and that mediation starts with the breath. Now that we’ve been using the So Hum meditation from 6 Ways Deep Breathing Helps You, I wanted to share another beneficial breathing technique. This is great for clearing mental fog or waking you from that afternoon slump. Before you can calm the mind you must control the breath.  To help further your experience try Breathing for Clarity and Calming: 1. With the right hand, fold your index and middle finger and curl
